Digital Silver Forum looking for digital solutions for aging

Digital Silver Forum looking for digital solutions for aging

Digital Silver Forum is a new, unique event in Helsinki that will explore opportunities of digital innovations for the benefit of aging consumers.

Aging is one of the biggest challenges of our time and at the same time digitalization one of the greatest opportunities.

— With Digital Silver Forum we will bring together business leaders, investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs, inventors, startups and other organizations engaging with silver consumers. We need to work more together to create better services for the aging consumer, says Esko Aho, former Finnish Prime Minister and one of the initiators of the event.

— Our dream is to create a dynamic forum where you can build connections and exchange ideas with each other so that also the aging consumer benefits from digitalization.

— As the global population ages, by 2020, those over age 60 will number 1 billion globally and boast more than $15 trillion in spending power. That is tremendous opportunity. The age of longevity we’re now living in is one of the biggest drivers of innovation today and is only continuing to grow in impact as more and more of us are living longer, continues Michael Hodin from Global Coalition on Aging, the other initiator of the event.

Digital Silver Forum is a one-day event and it takes place in November 29th 2016 in Helsinki, Finland. Digital Silver is an official pre-event of the technology conference Slush.

The speakers represent international companies, service providers, associations and the Finnish government and come from organisations such as OECD, WHO, the European Commission, EU CARE, Imperial College London, Home Instead Senior Care, Nestlé Skin Health SHIELD, Nokia, OP, Philips, Uber, HUR, Aging2.0, and Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation. The event showcases new digital startup solutions for the aging consumers.
