Who we are
We are a team of psychology and technology experts hailing from Tampere, Finland. Our story begun as academic collaboration, which produced excellent results, and led us to found Headsted in 2014.
The Headsted team combines evidence-based methods with online and mobile channels so that we are able to reach as many people as possible. The main therapeutic approach used in the services is acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Headsted's quest to support the UK population has seen them expand their team to include British based experts in mental health, operations, and public health. The delivery of evidence-based ACT programs through cost effective and accessible formats to people struggling with issues such as anxiety, stress and low mood, is something that excites the entire Headsted team!
Our online programs for mental wellbeing have helped thousands of users to deal with anxiety, low mood, stress, and depression. The self-guided programs can be used independently or with support from a health professional or a group of peers, for example. Our services are available through our partners - health care providers, employers, and other organizations - or directly for individual users through our web site in Finland.
We are also very active in collaborating with research institutions in Finland and abroad. We provide services for developing tailored solutions for R&D projects, and collecting and managing data.
Our programs provide accessible, affordable, and engaging help for common mental wellbeing challenges. Not only do our users learn to live with anxiety, for instance, but they get help in a practical, down-to-earth, and effective way. Our satisfaction surveys show that more than 90% of users would recommend our services.
Health care professionals have found that our programs are well accepted by their service users. Our services have helped to cut waiting times, engage users, and measure the impact of health interventions.
